S+S Turns 21: A Year to Remember

This September marks a very special milestone for us – 21 years of S+S!
And on 29th September, we celebrate double – the birthday of our founders Ira & Olya who 21 years ago also gave life to S+S Studio.

So this month is not only about projects and achievements but about the story of two sisters who built a studio that today inspires, connects and surprises around the world. We celebrate the success of S+S and our beloved Ira & Olya who made it all possible.

Highlights of the Year: Hotels & Restaurants Worldwide

Putting new dots on the global map – the past year has been filled with openings we’re truly proud of:

• Gem Forest MGallery, Nairobi – rooted in culture, blooming with character
• Sofitel Benin, Cotonou – French elegance meeting West African charm
• Mercury Rooftop, Four Seasons Dubai – the rooftop that dares to compete with the skyline itself
• Novikov Limassol, Cyprus – Mediterranean chic where design and flavors merge seamlessly

And beyond the hotels we celebrated the openings of ToMi Negroni Bar, San Si Restaurant, LEO and Remy Kitchen Metropol – each one a unique story brought to life with our trusted partners.

Our Growing Team

This year our in-house team reached 100 talents.
It’s a joy to see how we’ve grown while keeping the same spirit that started S+S two decades ago. We are especially grateful to those who have been with Ira and Olya since the very beginning – some for over 10 to 17 years. Their loyalty and creativity have shaped the studio’s DNA.

Celebrating Together

Looking back one of the most touching moments was our 20th Anniversary celebration at Luna Sky Bar at the Four Seasons DIFC in Dubai, a venue designed by us and shared with partners, friends and colleagues. A night full of memories, laughter and gratitude.

Sharing Ideas Around the World

Over the past year Ira and Olya have been active voices at hospitality events from Bangkok to Dubai joining panels and discussions with industry leaders. Wherever they speak, they share the design philosophy at the heart of S+S – “Luxury Punk.”

It’s a style born with S+S combining the comfort and elegance of luxury with a spark of creativity that challenges conventions and inspires new perspectives. For Ira and Olya it’s not about being loud – it’s about balance: design that feels refined yet never predictable, sophisticated yet full of surprise.
