Located in one of Dubai’s most prestigious neighborhoods, OLTREMARE is conceived as a cultural destination rather than a conventional restaurant, a place to dine, observe, and be immersed in a carefully staged experience.

Art curation is a fundamental component of OLTREMARE is identity and guest journey. The collection is designed to integrate seamlessly with the interior, reinforcing the idea of masterpieces on the walls and on the plate. Here, art is not decoration but an essential ingredient of the space — a conversation partner that elevates the dining experience and transforms the restaurant into a living gallery.

Storytelling 

The creative concept is built around a dialogue between contemporary Italian artistry and refined modern luxury. The atmosphere is elegant, vibrant, and thought-provoking, avoiding clichés while encouraging intellectual and emotional engagement. Guests are invited to perceive OLTRE as a gallery where dining becomes the main exhibition.

Spatially, the restaurant unfolds like a theatre. Seating is arranged in tiers, with sofas positioned as if in theatrical boxes, allowing guests to watch the scene unfold around them. Everyone becomes both spectator and participant in the evening’s performance.

At the heart of the space stands the bar, crowned by a dramatic circular structure suspended above it. This architectural ring acts as a visual and social focal point, offering views across the restaurant and into the club zone. Within this elevated circle are a VIP lounge and a private wine room — an intimate enclave where guests can select wines in a secluded, ritual-like setting, removed from the main flow of the evening.

The flooring introduces a strong graphic rhythm through a square pattern inspired by a chessboard — a reference to strategy, intellect, and timeless elitism. Like a game of chess, the space celebrates pauses, anticipation, and the art of observation, reinforcing the cultural and artistic narrative of the interior.

Handcrafted glass elements are used throughout the project, adding depth, reflection, and a tactile quality to the environment. Their subtle imperfections enhance the sense of craftsmanship and authenticity, aligning with the restaurant’s refined yet expressive aesthetic.

OLTREMARE is a place to look and to linger. Surrounded by artworks, architectural perspectives, and layered lighting, guests move through the space as if through a gallery — observing, absorbing, and enjoying the performance of the interior itself. It is a destination designed not only to be experienced, but to be contemplated.
