LE SUD

The interior of both floors tells the same story of Southern European signature cuisine, seasoned with African spices and glamour, but each chapter is different.

The first floor is where the story begins. Floor-to-ceiling golden windows open the restaurant to sunlight and reveal a formal and original interior and fashionable guests parading their evening attire, as if in a showcase or on stage for the entire street.

The light, elegant ornamental walls, covered with African scarification or “bubbles” of irdy, are the perfect backdrop for wild contemporary African-themed art and for the vibrant and stylish guests.
In the center of the room is an artistic, organically shaped bar made of delicate liquid gold, as if slightly melted by the scorching sun, over which hangs a rougher, geometric fringe of genuine leather. The entire seating area is arranged around it—tables with white tablecloths, accented by soft chairs with black patterns, and airy, cloud-like sofas, set off by bright tables with sky-blue art.

Meanwhile, the restaurant’s main sanctuary—the kitchen—is slightly hidden, yet open to the curious and privileged.

The basement is a continuation of the story and its culmination. The interior is more private, hidden, an evening lounge, filled with African eclecticism, ready to light up at any moment.

All the light and color here are darker and more intimate, while the wall geometry is sharper, and the floor is no longer delicately patterned, but darkly patterned. But once again, the entire space revolves around the bar, only here the bar finally takes center stage, both in scale and in the contrast between the softness and elegance of gold and the roughness of black metal. During the day, some of the tables are covered with white tablecloths, but in the evening, with the arrival of the DJ, the tablecloths are removed, revealing masks and natural charred wood, scarred with geometric patterns. Geometric legs also echo the totemic column of natural wood.

As a result, the interior, like the restaurant’s cuisine, combines elegance and wildness, heat and cool, Europe and Africa, sophisticated monochrome with bright accents, spices and classics.
